Well prized I don't know but since saying my kid is a little over rated... just kidding. I love my son but he is not a possession...
A possession that I have besides a box full of memory lane... I would say my "clarinet." the concept of having a clarinet by my side since the age of 10 has led me to run my life with it along time... for people who sometimes think I lack commitment because I have only been in one relationship my whole life... well I have had another one since I was 10 and for 14 years. I think that if I didn't have the clarinet by my side... I would have been a more awkward loner during middle school, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to fight to be in more things... I wouldn't have practice to be what I wanted to be or challenge my professors. To make it short.... it taught me to challenge myself with my shyness... my awkwardness... and even taught me to be a leader... so it got me through college with a degree and encouragement of not letting others put me down, yank from me the drive I had to get what I wanted..
I don't know maybe would argue it wasn't the instrument but the people involved in my life and i say that without the clarinet I wouldn't have set such standards because I wouldn't have met people to guide my life in such way.
